Dining, shopping, churches, and banking are a few of the aspects surrounding the Stonegate community in Rennselaer. Travel plans involving either the Albany International Airport or the Rensselaer Train Station are minutes away, as is the NYS Thruway and Adirondack Northway.
The East Greenbush School District enrolls approximately 4,300 students in their seven schools within the award-winning district. There are five K-5 elementary schools (Bell Top, Donald P. Sutherland, Genet, Green Meadow and Red Mill). Students in grades 6-8 attend Goff Middle School and the high school students attend Columbia High. The District’s facilities are also available for community activities, including senior citizen programs.
The Youth and Recreation Committee in Rensselaer has activities using town facilities such as the gym, Snyder’s Lake beach, and the playground and ball fields.

Rensselaer offers its residents plenty to do, including Funplex Fun Park, the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology, and an ice-skating rink at Hudson Valley Community College. An RPI hockey game and a visit to the New York State Museum are also fun ways to spend an afternoon!
The community is conveniently located minutes from I-787, making travel to the surrounding areas quick and easy. If you work in downtown Albany, your commute from Partridge Hill will be just 15 minutes. Many of the state departments are located downtown, including The Department of Civil Service, The Department of Environmental Conservation, the US Labor Department Wage & Hour Division, and the Albany County Building Department.
