Stonegate Apartments - Thursday, March 12, 2015

As hard as it is to believe, everyone’s favorite holiday is right around the corner! St. Patrick’s Day always sneaks up on us but we don’t see anyone complaining. The Capitol Region has countless events that tailor to everyone… whether you are Irish or not everyone seems to celebrate this day! It’s a day to eat, listen to Celtic music and socialize with friends and family. Here is a list of a few events in Albany that look remarkable and definitely worth attending:

62nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Location: Albany, New York Date: Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 2:00 pm Cost: free Albany’s St. Patrick’s Day parade is a something you will not want to miss. It’s a tradition in the Capitol Region! Even though it is not actually held on St. Patrick’s Day, it is a great time to celebrate with friends and family. This year, the parade is switching it up a little bit; it is starting on Quail Street and Central Avenue and ending on State Street and Broadway. Lots of bag pipers, step dancers and different local organizations will parade through the city dressed in all green. Make sure to check it out! There will also be a mass held before the parade at 9:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church on Central Avenue.
